Awww, what a little qt

I've really been liking cute animal pictures, recently. In case you can't tell, I am a huge fan of cats. I also enjoy some dogs though, and some other animals are quite cute. Like for some reason I also really like penguins and dolphins. Don't ask me why, I just think they look cool. Anyway, my day was pretty sweet. I got to learn some stuff and things at school, then I came home for a little break before I headed back so I could play the fun piccolo in band. Fun times there. We sight read this one really pretty tune, Shanandoah, and three of us floutists had a cool little trio action going on. It was pretty sweet. I thoroughly enjoyed it. And basically since I got home at five o'clock, I have eaten supper, typed a bit on the computer, and now I'm off to finish my little bit of homework that I eventually have due for tomorrow. I guess I have two hours tomorrow to get it done too (I'm working on it during my spare and in English class), but I figure the sooner I complete it, the less amount of stress I feel. So I'm going to go do that work pretty much right now. Or right after I check my mom's e-mail; she asked me to check to see if she's received any e-mail yet. So yes, fare-thee-well.

Picture of the day, not much to say

Never mind, no picture today because my computer's being slow. And I still don't really have a ton to say, or much time to say it, so I'm going to sleep.
Good Night

Pretty much the cutest picture I could find

Mm, gotta love sleeping in! So looking back at my last week, I'm noticing that I've been through plenty of experiences. On Sunday I went to a different Church, on Tuesday I felt so sick and so stressed out that I got to the point of crying at school (and let me tell ya, that's quite rare for myself to do) . . . and on Friday, my day was intense! I finally did my English presentation (and people seemed to like it, despite the fact that I thought they'd think I was weird for doing something totally different than everyone else). I also helped with snack day, handing out the scuffles that my grandma and I made on Thursday night. Haha, some reactions of my classmates were pretty funny. "She's got A+ written all over her." I also had my February Blues concert with the rest of my Prime Time group last night, and I was told that we (our group) sounded really really good (as in the guy telling me this said he didn't know we could sound that good, although he knows Prime Time's still good, you know?). It was really cool, too; we discovered that our drummer could scat while playing drums, so we had fun times surprising the audience with that :) So yeah, I've been through a lot, this past week. Craziness! And that is basically the story of my life, thus far . . . of course, with quite a few more details added in, but I won't get into those. Alrighty then, I would like supper, so I'm going to go get it. Later!

February Blues

I have my concert tonight, hence the title. It should be fun times. I also have yet to make my presentation (and hand out snacks) during fourth period, and I'm hoping I'll be able to focus alright. Sometimes when I present I get pretty nervous. I came home during my spare basically every day all week trying to prepare "one final time" before I head back to school and make my presentation. And I have also been borrowing my sister's hat, too. (I really don't want to carry the hat around with me all day long, especially since my sister really really really doesn't want me to lose it or anything.) So I grab that and all my materials before I head 'er out. I'm sure my presentation will turn out fine, though. And that is basically all that's new with me. I am going to go "prepare one final time before I head back to school." Ciao for now!

Some scuffles and a presentation later

Hey-o! How are all y'all doing, now? I'm just fine and dandy! Well, aside from the fact that I've been fighting a cold all week, it's all good. I've still been going to school, and as far as I can tell I'm still learning new things, which is an excellent sign. I don't know if I mentioned this before, but I was actually so stressed out and feeling so sick that I actually started crying at school. That was weird; I usually don't cry at school unless there's an apparent reason, but when I was talking with my friend then I just started tearing up. Yeah, it was pretty random, but I was not feeling well that day. Anyway, ever since then I have been sitting through English class just wondering when my teacher will ask me to make my presentation. I'm kinda nervous about it because it's different than everyone else's (she told us to be creative, so I am - I'm putting on a little skit by myself!), but also because I know my voice isn't working too great for me this week. It's sad how often I have to squeak when I speak, but I'll live. Wow, that's cool how that all worked out for me; my Uncle just asked if I wanted a treat, so he's picking up some extra candy for my presentation. Sweet!!! This evening, my grandma taught me how to make scuffles. We made them with Snack Day in mind. For tomorrow's English class, my friend and I are in charge of snacks. Yep, true story. So we'll be handing out snacks, I'll be presenting, and then I participate in our February Blues concert during the evening. So I guess I'd better get a good sleep soon. Now seems like the opportune time to do just that. Good night!

I would like . . . some hot chocolate?

I don't exactly have a ton of time to type tonight, as I have a bit of work to do and some sleep to catch up on. So you can consider this my post of the day and I'll type to ya tomorrow!

Need sleep

Wow, I can feel sickness coming on. Literally. I was sitting in English class today, basically all set to go for my presentation, and then I got all fever-ish, so then I took off my bunnyhug (which I had over top of a T-shirt) and I was chilled. And then I started crying. Like, just sitting there in class, my friend and I were chatting, and then before I knew it I was feeling horrible and I had to go down to the washroom to wash my face and try to calm down, but I was still feeling so bad. And when my teacher asked me from across the room if I was sick for a while or not, then my voice kept squeaking and cracking and it wasn't fun. I don't think that it happened because I knew I had to make a presentation, today. I'm usually all right with speaking in front of my classmates. I've been trying to fight off a cold for a little while now, though. And I am really tired, so I'm going to sleep now. See you tomorrow!

Hello :)

Whoo, another day has gone by already? One highlight: I'm finally able to tune my piccolo, and I even have an earplug so I won't go deaf when I play. It is quite helpful. Another highlight: After my flute lesson, my grandma and I spent some fun times together sitting at the lake, as usual. I thoroughly enjoy chatting with her. There were other little highlights made during my day, but that's about all that I have time for, folks! See ya later!

Experiences

Wow, looking back at this past week, I see how many experiences I have recently gone through. Last week I managed to make a bit of my fool of myself when I spoke, and hung out, with friends; I managed to freeze my hair to our outer door when locking up my house as I was leaving for Wednesday night Youth Group (or was that the week before?); I went to a different Church, today (mostly for the reason to see a friend sing, or else I'd have probably gone to my home Church) . . . Indeed, I have had many experiences. Sometimes I don't even really realize how much I've been through if I never think about it. I wonder what other experiences God has in store for me, this week? Well, I have some work that I need to quickly type up. I kinda enjoy it though, because it's the psychology project which lets me go into detail on my experiences so I can see my peaks and valleys during the course of my years. So I'm off to do that. See ya later!

Doing homework

Ola, how's it going? I'm just peachy! I've been totally chillaxin' basically all afternoon. This evening I've done, and I'm still doing, homework. Fun times! And I'm cleaning my room, too. Woot for multi-tasking! So yeah, that's about it for me and my thoughts. I've got to go use some of this time for homework and all that. See ya later!

Frizzy hair

I feel like putting up my hair right now; it's quite static-y. Anyway, it's been a good day for me, full of chillaxin' action. I'm going to go put up my hair and eat supper now, then I can make it to Youth Group tonight. See ya!

Kinda tired

Yeah, so it looks like tonight's been another late one for me. Am I ever looking forward to the weekend! But as for right now, I'd better go and finish that outstanding work. Ciao for now!

Already set for the weekend

Wow, these first days of my week have been packed with tons of work. I'm basically ready for the weekend already. I'm glad that we have half of Wednesday off, and I'm looking forward to this Friday (no school). I'm sure that my week's gonna go great and all, but right now I'm tired. And I should probably, once again, bid you adieu and get my work done. See ya!

Sunday, February 12, 2006

Whoo, busy day

So I have to still finish up the rest of my Psychology project which I totally forgot about this weekend. I've been working on it all evening. See ya later!

My day's been pretty good . . . and yours?

Good news, I finally have a bit more time to post, today. Unfortunately now I don't have a ton to type though, so maybe this won't be the longest post you ever read. Oh well. Anyhow, here's the post. Yeah, my day was pretty good. I slept in this morning, then I tried getting my computer to work for like an hour so I could check my e-mail and the blogs and all, then I had the Prime Time clinic, came home and chillaxed a bit before I called my grandma and asked if we could go get my glasses fixed (they bent when playing "Protect the President" last night). So she and I just went out and had a good time, then I came home and I've been working on cleaning my bedroom for a while. And that is basically what my day consisted of. So now I have no clue what to say, so I'm gonna tell you that I would like it if I could finish cleaning my room and maybe get done some of my homework. In fact, I'm gonna go do that right now. See ya tomorrow!

Nice

Woot for another short post due to lack-of-time! I just came home from school; we had our Prime Time clinic. Fun times there! Supper was quickly eaten and now I would enjoy a short little shower before I head off to Youth Group. See ya later!

Wazzup, doc?

How are you guys doing? Doing alright here. I went through a variety of emotions today, and I think it may be because I'm kinda tired. But it's all good. Yeah, at 7:40 this morning we had a Prime Time practice, then our Wind Ensemble group had band clinics all during the first two periods of school. Which meant I was free after my ton of music that morning, which was cool. I didn't like the way I couldn't get the piccolo tuned at all, though. That was depressing, and the way that the others were just glaring at me really wasn't helping either. But after my spare then I went back to school, sat in during the first part of ISCF (the guy from New Zealand has a really cool accent), then I went to our Wind Ensemble practice for another hour. That time I did better. I could finally tune the piccolo with the rest of the band, which made it easier for me to be more confident to play out loud and all. Then I had my one and only class of the day, English, and I came home during my fifth period spare. When I got home then my mom told me that my sister got hired; she's gonna be an intern in New York during the summer. That's very exciting, and I'm happy for her. And now I've run out of exciting things to tell you, so I'm going to stop typing and see what the rest of the day brings. See ya later!

Again with a quick post

So it seems like I've been kinda busy, recently. I have to make this post short because supper's almost ready and I have Youth Group tonight. So yeah, not much has really happened to me, today. I had school and learned stuff. I like school and all, but sometimes I can't find it too exciting. Anyway, yeah, I've been playing my piccolo for like an hour or two, now. I'm having fun times. Last night was pretty good, too; our ISCF groups in school all came together and we went tobogganing. It was pretty fun. I did end up finding a way there, and that was definitely pretty much awesome how it all worked out. It was so cold; I was freezing even though I finally got there about an hour later than it started. And I apparently got enough sleep last night and I was able to make it to our 7:30am Prime Time sectional. Yeah, that's about it. Hope you enjoyed my oh-so-amusing story. I've gotta run, so I'll see ya later!

Tuesday, February 07, 2006

Quick hello

Wow, I was kinda busy today. I may be going to the ISCF groups' tobogganing at Mt. Pleasant if Jonathan's friend can drive me. So I'd better go and finish getting ready just in case he shows up. Here's my hello, and I gotta go! Ciao!

Today's been sweet

Hey there, how are all y'all doin' now? I'm just great! I barely did any work this morning at school, meaning I really didn't do any. I am usually all right with doing work, but sometimes it's nice to get a break every now and then. During first period, we presented our posters in Psychology class. When my partner and I went up to present I thought it was nice of him to take over for the most part. I really don't like presenting things to the class, even if I do know what it's all about. So he did most of the talking, and I added in something every now and then, but I found it wasn't as stressful to talk when I was with a partner who really didn't mind speaking in front of the class. And then for second period, the Grade 12s had a Grad-informing meeting. I learned a lot there. During third period, I had a spare and went home for the hour. Then I went back to good ol' Campbell Collegiate for Flute Choir (fun times of finally getting a piccolo tuned), and I had English class as usual before I once again headed for home. Having two spares is nice. And yeah, I'm going to go practice my flute and start my English assignment before I have to head out to my flute lesson. I'll see ya later!

Bling!!!

And that was my random title of the day!
So anyway, what up? Anything new with you? Not too much going on here. Well, not right at this moment, anyway. I'm taking a moment's break before I finish up my homework, which I should probably get done before anything totally exciting happens. I was typing on the computer for quite a while already, so I don't really feel like typing much longer. If you want to see what I typed, you should check out the hillsdale blog. But as for me, right now, I'm going to go get something to eat - maybe an apple - and I'm gonna finish up that homework. See ya!

I'm gonna go do my thang

'Sup, eh? Anything super-exciting happen to you recently? Any crazy, wild stories to tell? Not many here, myself. I was staying up late basically all last week doing homework, stuff, and things; after staying up sorta late again last night it was nice to sleep in today. I woke up a few times at around 9am and 10:30am, but I wasn't feeling too well, so I went to sleep again and I didn't wake up until 2 o'clock this afternoon. And do I ever feel refreshed! Then I basically just chillaxed all day long, doing a bit of work when I needed to, and I typed on the computer quite a bit too. And so other than all that, not much has been happening to moi. Oo, last night it was kinda fun, we went to Tim Horton's after Youth Group and I got to see and talk to my grandparents who just randomely showed up there as well. Fun times. So can you see what I'm typing right now? Because I've been trying to check the blog for a while, but our computer's slow and sometimes it won't let me connect and then when it does let me post something then for some reason it posts twice and yeah, it's weird. So I'm going to stop typing for a while, and I'm gonna go do my thang. See ya tomorrow!

Gotta run!

Hello, goodbye! This was my post of the day; it's short because I've been busy and I really have to get ready before my night at Youth Group. Hope you all have a great rest of the day and I'll type to ya tomorrow!

Gotta run!

I've been really busy until now, but I decided to make my daily post right now quickly before I head off to eat (my folks are calling me) and head out to Youth Group for the night. So have a good weekend, people! Type to ya tomorrow!

Big Day

So how were your days? Mine was pretty big. I got a ton done, including school, some final Grad details (have my shoes and dress picked out, just need dress altered and I have to go to a Grad-informing meeting sometime this next week), then I chillaxed (being as cool as a cucumber is fun times), and I finished off my day with homework and typing on this here computer. I actually typed something to post before, but for some reason it wouldn't let me post it because this program wasn't connected to the blog or something. Yeah, so I pressed the Publish button and then I watched as my computer froze and I was like "Noooo!" Yep, just like that. It was very cool today; I never really see many people with unique accents, and there was this one guy who joined us in ISCF for the lunch hour. He had this really cool accent and he was a hilarious guy. He apparently came from either New Zealand, New Brunswick, or Newfoundland. Yeah, one of those three places. But I couldn't stay for the whole time during ISCF; I had to run away for band. So I guess I should go basically right now. Sorry about taking away your source of entertainment; I'm sure this must liven things up for you quite a bit. I could keep typing for quite a while longer, but I really want to get my homework all done before it gets too late again. Yeah, last night I definitely was up until like 2 o'clock doing homework that I forgot I had until after Youth Group. Fun times. Anyway, yeah, bye.

Wednesday, February 01, 2006

Yo and Hello

What up, yo? Tons has been happening on this end of things. As usual, I had school today . That was pretty decent. In psychology we're making posters, and our teacher wanted us to partner up with someone of the opposite gender (unless we wanted to go by ourselves). So a guy asked me if I wanted to go with him and I was all like "Sure," so then we did (became partners). We have to make a poster that shows the lifestyle of the group of 20 to 30-year-olds. So it's actually kinda a funner project because there's not a ton of work to do. We have a write-up to complete and some pictures to find, but that's about it.

Now that I think back on my last day or two, I've noticed that I've been able to get to know some guys better. That's prety cool. I usually just get deeper in relationships with the ladies at school. Yeah, some people are just so friendly. They're all smiley after you smile at them and then they strike up a conversation and everything. Maybe that doesn't happen the same way for you, but I know it's been happening quite a bit with me recently. Even at Youth Group. I love meeting and getting to know "new" people! I've been learning how to step out of my comfort zone to make others feel accepted. I partly learned how to do that from past experiences. I used to be so shy and scared when I was a small little Grade 9, and then the Grade 12s just took me under their wings as they totally opened up to me and seemed to care more about my comfort than their own. So I'm kinda following their example. Basically.

The ministry teams are starting to happen at Youth Group, which is good. I thought the prayer time tonight was great! Not that it wasn't good before, but I definitely think that sometimes things are gooder when they're changed up a bit. It seems to add a bit more excitement or enthusiasm or something if we follow a different format. And then care group was great too. For some reason after care group I just felt like crying though. I think I may have been missing all of my "old" friends who I don't see as often. Or maybe something being said tonight really hit home for me, I'm not really sure how to explain it; it was all very overwhelming.

Anyway, that's my day for you in a nut shell. I guess I'd better get to sleep soon, seeing as though I want to wake up some time before school tomorrow morning. Good night!
